Plugged in Bach! Aaron plays Bach on Electric Guitar

If J. S. Bach (1685-1750) were around today, would he write for modern instruments too? We like to think he would!

Bach's solo violin music is some of the most exquisite music ever written. At times, Bach conjures up the illusion that several instruments are playing, when in fact it's just one violin.

His writing has influenced musicians in every style, not least in jazz. His concept of harmony forms the basis of Western Music, and is still studied and analyzed by college music students.

Here's Aaron playing part of Bach's Double from Partita No. 1 BWV 825.

Playing along to a drum beat instead of a metronome is a common practice strategy that Aaron likes to use because he finds it more fun. Enjoy!
